The CCSM is currently accepting applications for 3 At-Large Representatives to serve on the Statewide Consumer Council (SCC).
The Statewide Consumer Council consists of 2-3 representatives from each local council and 1 At-Large Representative from each Region (a list of regions & counties is attached).
Election Schedule
One At-Large Representative will be elected from each region. Elections will be held at each of the following regional meetings:
Region 1-Biddeford: November 7, 2019
Region 2-Rockland: October 28, 2019
Region 3-Caribou: October 30, 2019

How to Apply
Please note: The Statewide Consumer Council (SCC) is the legal board of directors with all the responsibilities that come with that position! Anyone wishing to apply for a position is required to read the SCC Representative Job Description. This document can be obtained by clicking HERE or by contacting the CCSM Office: 1-877-207-5073.
All candidates must complete and submit the CCSM Elected Representative Application by 5:00 PM on the following dates:
Region 1: October 31, 2019
Region 2: October 21, 2019
Region 3: October 23, 2019

Applicants are encouraged to follow-up with the CCSM office to make sure the application was received.
Election Process
Board members will be selected by a ballot vote at each Regional Meeting.
At each meeting, qualified candidates will be permitted to present a brief oral statement and respond to questions from those in attendance. All candidates will be given an equal amount of time for statements and questions.
Candidates MUST attend the regional meeting in which they are running for a Representative Seat.
At the conclusion of all statements and questions, attendees who identify as having lived mental health experience will take a vote by ballot. Each person qualified to vote, including the candidates, may vote for only one candidate per ballot. At every election the CCSM holds, there is a “No Choice” option on each ballot. This option can be selected if you feel the candidate(s) are not qualified for the position. The candidates with the highest number of votes will be deemed selected to the Statewide Consumer Council and will take office immediately.
The CCSM has the discretion to enact any additional procedures necessary to conduct the selection process, so long as they do not conflict with the CCSM Governance Guidelines or any other law.
