ANNOUNCING SEASON TWO OF Our Voice of ME!

Season Two of Our Voice of ME launches today, and we are beginning with a powerful two part series on
institutionalization in Maine.
In this series, we take a closer look at the history of institutionalization, the long shadow it still casts on mental health care today, and why these conversations continue to matter for peers, families, advocates, and communities across Maine. Through historical context, reflection, and lived experience, this series explores where we have been, what has changed, and what still needs attention. We welcome special guests Pat Deegan, Kelly Staples, anonymous former AMHI worker, Vickie McCarty, Simonne Maline and
Judge Dan Wathen.
