Hello there!
With the change of the leaves here and the temperatures dropping, fall is surely setting in…. For us at the CCSM, we have the month of October for Local Council elections. The CCSM is working on helping individuals get ready for local, statewide, and national elections. Democracy as imperfect as it can be, still plays a critical role in our country and we are privileged as citizens to have the rights to do to vote. If you don’t know how to vote, please reach out to us! We are also excited for our new policy advocate starting with us this week and I cannot wait for you all to meet Kerri! Also, check out our website with French and Spanish translations of almost all information with more languages to come! We are also in the process of creating a feedback page for anything you want to tell us. Right now, we are also working on legislative bills to put in this session as well as working with allies on other bills. I cannot underscore the need for everyone to get involved and we will teach you the ropes if you do not know how this whole process works. We had to learn too once upon a time so we understand how confusing it can be. If you want to get more information, sign up for our emails right on our homepage and invite others to sign up as well! https://maineccsm.org/
And if you need a new friend, we have spider plants for sale that have names and personalities that you cannot live without! I for example, have ladybug and jellyroll. Plants are great for your physical and mental health!
Hope to hear from you soon!
