CCSM Quarterly Newsletter – Fall 2023 Edition

Newsletter banner.

Fall is a great time in Maine and we hope everyone is getting out to enjoy some of this beautiful weather! Lots still happening here at the CCSM. We are heading out to start our regional meetings starting with up north this Friday. We hope we see folks in person or via Zoom so that we can HEAR from you about what is going on for you and your community. We cannot amplify your voice if we do not hear it from you. There are so many ways that you can get involved with the CCSM. Participate in a local council meeting, attend a regional, and pop into our monthly issues and legislative subcommittees. All of these are on Zoom, and some are hybrid. You can come and learn with us.

We are also underway with planning for the HOPE conference for 2024. Mark your calendars for May 15, 2024. We know many of you look forward to that day so we are giving you the date now!

Also, if you have not seen the emails about the project underway to update the Rights of Recipients for Mental Health Services, please connect with us. These are the rights for adults and children in the entire mental health system and this document has not been updated since 1995. There is a forum in November https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/obh and there will be other opportunities to participate. To see the core document please click here https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/obh/support-services/rights-and-legal-issues/rights-of-recipients.

Lastly, we are looking to fill out our team with a part-time Outreach Coordinator so if you know of anyone here is the link to the job posting:
